Miss Hannah had a Teddy

How To Play the Action Song
(words in red, action in blue)

Miss Hannah had a teddy, who was sick, sick, sick.
(fold your arms and rock them as if you were holding the sick teddy)
So she called for doctor Yanic to be quick, quick, quick.
(put one hand to your ear and use the other to dial)
The doctor came with his bag and his hat,
(pat your head to show your hat)
And he knocked on the door, with a rat-a-tat-tat.
(pretend to knock on the door)

He looked at the teddy and he shook his head,
(shake your head)
And he said, " Miss Hannah put her straight to bed".
(wag your finger)
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill.
(write with a finger on the palm of your hand)
That will make it better yes it will, will, will.
(nod again to show that teddy will get better)

Five Fat Peas

How To Play the Action Song

(words in red, action in blue)

Five fat peas in a pea pod pressed
(hold hand in a fist)

One grew, two grew, so did the rest.

(put thumb and all fingers up one by one)

They grew and grew and did not stop
(move hand up very slowly and stretch fingers apart)

Until one day when the pod went POP!
(clap hands together at the word POP)

See The Lady Bug

Sing this song to the tune of "Frere Jacques"...

See the ladybug, see the ladybug.
Watch it crawl, watch it crawl.
See it crawling higher,
See it crawling higher.
Watch it crawl, up the wall.

See the ladybug, see the ladybug.
Watch it crawl, watch it crawl.
See it crawling lower,
See it crawling lower.
Way down low, to my toe.

The original "Frere Jacques" in French...

Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques,
Dormez vous? Dormez vous?
Sonnez les matines,
Sonnez les matines,
Din, din, don! Din, din, don!

The original "Frere Jacques" in English...

Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping?
Brother John? Brother John?
Morning bells are ringing,
Morning bells are ringing,
Ding dang dong, Ding dong dong.

Five Little Ladybugs

Show your child your hand and wiggle all your fingers and thumb as you sing this traditional nursery rhyme:

Five little ladybugs climbing up a door
One flew away then there were four

(Bend your thumb into your palm and continue:)
Four little ladybugs sitting on a tree
One flew away then there were three

(Bend a finger into your palm and continue singing, wiggling the remaining fingers:)

Three Little ladybugs landed on a shoe
One flew away then there were two

(Bend a finger into your palm and continue singing, wiggling the remaining fingers:)
Two little ladybugs looking for some fun
One flew away and then there was one

(Bend a finger into your palm and continue singing, wiggling the remaining finger:)
One little ladybug sitting in the sun
She flew away and then there were none

(Then tickle your child and kiss them on the head.)
